Well this seems weird already having our last blog for the semester. It seemed to go by really fast. I would like to start off with saying how I really enjoyed being your guys’ classmate. I really enjoyed some of the conversations that were held in class, and for some of you even outside of class. You guys seemed to be there when I decided to forget what Ms. Gregory said in class, so I definitely thank you guys for that.
Now besides that, taking this class has definitely changed my writing ways and how I like to do them. I started this class basically knowing only how to somewhat write a persuasive essay and how to do parts of a research paper. Now however, I not only know how to do those better and more in depth, I also know many other ways of writing and how they have so many differences in how they are written. For example writing letter like we are for this last project is different. I now understand that writing a letter doesn’t always have to be too formal, or too friendly for that matter. I learned that in these days of cell phones and internet social networking, there are still people who write letters to tell somebody facts about stuff. This seemed weird to me at first because I am all about the texting and Facebook, but now I don’t really think it is all that different, just on a paper form instead of being sent electronically. You can do so much with writing styles and portray different messages by using different styles, even if you are arguing or talking about the same subject between the different styles. Also, I learned that I actually kind of like blogging, even though we had restrictions most of the weeks in this class.
So as I am writing this and you are reading this I send my farewells to you guys and I hope you have a fun future here at ISU. By the way if you want to add me on Facebook, it doesn’t matter to me as I will accept any of your friend invites.
