This book named The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins, happens to be a book that I read rather recently. It was the hands down best book I've ever read. It was so good that I had to force myself to go to bed at nights in order to get some rest so I could read more the next day. The front cover of the book is what really caught my attention when I was looking for a new book to read. I usually would pick books that have fun and rather bright colors because they seem like they would be fun books to read. Examples of these are the Pendragon series, Holes, and many others. However, with this book it wasn't as bright or fun colored. Yet, it still caught my attention. I like to think that maybe it was the golden bird with the arrow in the ring off centered from the middle of the cover. But when I look at it more and more I start to think it was the intricate design in the background that actually caught my attention. Or maybe it was the way the words are presented. The block type words of the title make the book look like an action packed book to me, which it actually happened to be very action packed. Also, to me the simpler the cover of the book without seeming extremely boring, the better it seems to be. It's like the author or illustrator of the book cover doesn't want to over do the awesomeness of the book which really appeals to me. This book accomplishes just that. The black background makes it seem mysterious while the gold designing makes it look elegant. I don't know exactly what it was but this book cover really drew me in and I really enjoyed the book.

Introduction to the life of Billy Keene
Well hello my English 101 companions. My name is Billy Keene. I came from a city about an hour northeast of here called Ottawa. My major I intend to pursue is going to be a really difficult major called Actuarial Science. I am a kind of person who just loves to have fun and walk around meeting and talking to random people. My life at home has definitely been a weird one up to this date. I love to have pets and just love animals in general. At home right now I have an eight year old Boxer named Casper (we got him on Halloween), a 19 year old cat named Smoky (she is older than I am), a six year old cat named Angel (she is extremely stupid, crazy, and random), a ton of guppy fish (they multiply faster than rabbits do), and bearded dragon named Rocky. Rocky will sit on me and watch whatever TV show I am watching because, like me, he loves all kinds of TV. Before this last year I had my favorite pet ever. His name was Scruffy and he was a mix between a Shih Tzu and a Jack Russel Terrier. He was about two and a half years old and about a good 20 pounds when he passed away from heart failure. My favorite subject happens to be math. I am also a very science oriented guy. If you can't really prove it, I don't really want to believe in it's being. I am open to all kinds of music. However, I'm really not too crazy about country music and hardcore screamo. My favorite band is Rev Theory, and they have 3 of my top 5 favorite songs. I love food (as you can see by my personal appearance). My favorite food is Buffalo Chicken Wings and I love all spicy foods. There aren't really that many foods I don't like but there definitely are some that I'm not too fond on. If you want to get to know more about me, just ask and I will be happy to share anything with you.
